Contact list import allows you to upload an external contact phone\/email list and use it with the SMS\/email marketing channel in ManyChat.<\/p>\n

The function of importing contacts is applicable to all Pro and Free users.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can only download those contacts that give you consent to receive SMS or email. You are responsible for collecting such consent outside of ManyChat. When you upload contacts to ManyChat, your subscribers will automatically be deemed to have joined the bot.<\/p>\n

Importing and creating new subscribers will also affect your monthly PRO subscription.<\/p>\n

Go to the "Audiences" tab and click the "Import Contacts" button:

Then, click the "Choose your CSV file" link:<\/p>\n

Select the CSV file with the contact list:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

important hint<\/strong>: If you want to import a large number of contacts, we strongly recommend importing them into a separate tribe, and each block contains up to 20,000 rows. We also recommend naming each column in the first row (first name, last name, phone, email, country, etc.).
\nCheck whether you have selected the correct file, and then click the blue "Next" button in the lower right corner:<\/p>\n

Match the CSV column with the "System" and "Custom User" fields:<\/p>\n

important:<\/p>\n

You must select the "Full Name\/First Name\/Last Name\/Gender\/Phone\/Email System" field for the corresponding column in the CSV. After that, you will only be able to change the phone.<\/p>\n

Please save all other fields in "Custom User Fields"-you can create them in "Settings" => "Custom Fields". (Be prepared to match in advance).
\nThe data matches the data of an existing contact. It works like this: the system gets data from a CSV file and matches it with system fields and custom fields. If the "phone" or "email" in the CSV matches the phone or email bound to an existing user, ManyChat will update the data to match the CSV file. If the system cannot find a match in the email and\/or phone, a new user will be created.<\/p>\n

Please check the number of columns to import and select\/create labels for the imported audiences:<\/p>\n

You can add as many tags as you want, or delete them:<\/p>\n

Your contacts are being imported:<\/p>\n

Now your contact is ready:<\/p>\n

Go to the "Audiences" tab and check your new subscribers. In this example, the downloaded contacts do not have first and last names-if you did not name them when you downloaded the list, then you will see them:<\/p>\n

Please note that you cannot edit your name and profile picture-if you do not enter a name, this is how you will see your user card:<\/p>\n
