Klaviyo is an email marketing platform created for online businesses - with powerful email and SMS marketing automation features. The ManyChat + Klaviyo integration allows  <\/span>to create or update contacts in the list.<\/strong>If the new contact does not exist in Klaviyo, a new contact will be created, or the existing contact will be updated using the subscriber's \u201ccustom fields.\u201d Existing contacts will be identified by their email address. <\/strong>

Set up integration<\/span><\/p>\n


<\/span>Go to Settings > Integrations, and then enter your public API key and private API key to connect your existing Klaviyo account.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>\n

You can find your API keys in your Klaviyo account. Click on \u201cHow to get\u201d and copy the key from therehttps:\/\/www.klaviyo.com\/account#api-keys-tab<\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n

If the connection is successful, you will see a screen like this.<\/span><\/p>\n

Using Klaviyo Actions <\/span><\/p>\n

To add or update contacts in the list, use the special Klaviyo action in \u201cFlows\u201d or \u201cRules.\u201d Create an action step and select the Klaviyo action from the dropdown menu.<\/span><\/p>\n

Select \u201cCreate or Update Contact in List\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

to create or update contacts in the list <\/span><\/p>\n

First, select the email field that you will use to send the contact to Klaviyo. Existing contacts will be identified by their email address.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can use the email system field or any text \u201ccustom user field\u201d that stores the subscriber's email.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Second, select the Klaviyo list where you want to create new subscribers. Lists can only be created in Klaviyo.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Third, select the fields that contain the subscriber data to be sent to Klaviyo. By default, we pre-assign four fields (first_name, last_name, phone_number, timezone) for you each time, but you can remove them or choose other fields.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the dropdown on the right, you will see a list of special Klaviyo properties (= system fields in ManyChat). We label it as \u201c$\u201d so you can identify it and send the correct data to Klaviyo (it is important to add \u201c$\u201d before the special properties so that Klaviyo can recognize them as special properties).<\/span><\/p>\n

You can also enter new custom properties and send ManyChat data (from \u201ccustom user fields\u201d) to Klaviyo. If you want to send data to a Custom Klaviyo Property, there is no need to add \u201c$\u201d here. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

After completing the setup, click the \u201cSave\u201d button and then publish the flow.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result, you will get new contacts in Klaviyo. If this contact already exists, the contact properties will be updated with the new fields (if they have been updated in ManyChat).<\/span><\/p>\n
