Stacked WidgetwithEmbedded Widget #
The selection process for the following widgets is the same:
Let's go to the bar now. When users capture this widget on the website, it looks like this:
Let's zoom in on the main content here:

After the user clicks the “Send to Messenger” button, Facebook will ask them to log in:
Once completed, the user will become a subscriber and receive automated opt-in messages on Facebook.
After that, the Bar widget on the website will change to “Submitted Status,” and if the user wants to be redirected to that location to continue the conversation, they can click “View in Messenger”:
Note: The text “View in Messenger” does not have to be the same as this button; you can edit it at any time.
This is the opt-in message:
Users do not need to click the “Get Started” button to receive this message. Additionally, it is not the welcome message from the ManyChat account's “Automation” tab, but a custom opt-in message created within the widget. However, you can actually replace this message with the page's “Welcome Message,” and the bot will send it as an “opt-in” message to the user.
Almost there - now onto the next one.
Landing Page #
The user login page looks like this:
Again - the user must click the “Send to Messenger” button and log in to become a subscriber:
The widget will display its “Thank You” message and suggest continuing the conversation in Messenger:
There is no “Get Started” button here - the user receives a custom opt-in message again, which you can also replace with a welcome message if you wish:

Messenger reference URL #
Now, this is a bit different. Whether implemented in email or on the website, the Messenger Ref URL is typically placed in the button. Let's try the second option - this is a button for internal linking:
When the user clicks it, they will be immediately redirected to Messenger, and it will be displayed (see the bottom of the screenshot):
That's right - this is the “Get Started” button. Facebook provides this button to warn users that they will start a conversation with the bot, so they must click this button first to become a subscriber.
After completion, it will trigger a “subscribe” message (for example, it can also be replaced with a “welcome message”):
Now, the user has subscribed to your bot!
Facebook comment growth tool #
Let's see how users subscribe to your bot using this powerful widget.
Obviously, there must be a post on your FB page encouraging users to reply to it in the comments section:
The next step is actually to comment on this post:
That's when the magic starts happening: the user immediately receives an automated message from the widget (or delayed, depending on the widget's settings):
The FB comment tool completely bypasses the “get started” button.
To become a subscriber, the user must respond to this message so that ManyChat can extract their personal information and display it in the “audience” tab:
That's it!
Note: The “subscribe action” tab adds the following options: send a “subscribe” message to the user when he/she replies “auto reply” from the widget (the first automated message triggered immediately after the user comments on the post).

As you can see in the screenshot above, there are 3 options:
- You can choose to send the “subscribe” message to everyone, regardless of the “keywords” in the user response.”
- You can only send it to users who respond with the welcome text using the set keywords.
- Alternatively, you can use the general keywords in the “keywords” tab of your ManyChat account and choose not to send the join email at all.
You can also subscribe users to sequences in this tab.
Facebook Ads JSON #
Facebook Ads JSON allows you to convert users who click on Facebook Messenger ads into your bot subscribers.
Let's take a look at this ad, for example:
Users can click the “Learn More” button, or basically on the right side of the ad image, to receive automated messages from the widget:
Now, users will only enter your list if they click the button in the message. So remember, the first message should contain a button:
After clicking the button, the user will become a subscriber:
Facebook Messenger code #
1. You can use the Messenger app to scan the Messenger code to instantly link users to your bot without typing. They are perfect for pasting on flyers, ads, or anywhere in the real world where you want people to try using the bot.
2. For example, a user sees this post on your FB page:
3. What the user should do next is: they must open the Messenger app on their mobile device, click on their profile picture in the upper left corner of the “ to chat with ”4. " word, click on their profile picture within the Messenger code, and then click on the SCAN CODE5. label on the left. The camera on the phone will be activated immediately - the user must keep their camera over the Messenger code and wait for it to be captured. Once it happens, a "Get Started" button will be displayed for new users, which should be clicked so that the user can subscribe to the server and start receiving messages from your bot.6. Note: Users who have previously subscribed to your bot will not see the “Get Started” message.
7. Embed the Facebook customer chat on your website to provide direct support and engage visitors through Messenger. It looks like this:
Customer chat #
8. When users click "Chat Now," Facebook will prompt them to log in:

9. Users must click this button and log in to become subscribers.

10. There is no "Get Started" button here - users will immediately receive your opt-in message just like in embedded and overlay widgets.

11. Checkbox
12. The checkbox plugin allows you to display checkboxes in forms on your website to let users choose to receive messages from the bot in Messenger: #
13. When someone is logged into Facebook in their browser, their session will be detected, and their name and profile picture will appear below the checkbox. This lets users know which identity will be used to communicate with the business if they proceed.

14. If the displayed identity is not the one using the website, they can click the "Not you?" link to log out. It will clear the active Facebook session and display a login dialog box.
15. When someone chooses to receive messages via the Checkbox plugin, the opt-in must be triggered by a user action, such as a button click:
16. After clicking this button, a person will become your subscriber.

17. I hope this article helps you better understand the opt-in process for the "growth tools" mentioned above!
